Founded in 2005 in Bowie Maryland (USA) by Africans, AGPN is a Washington DC-based Business firm that specializes in promoting private enterprise to support economic growth and development in Africa focusing on: (i) Enterprise Growth (ii) Investment Support (iii) Industry Competitiveness & Trade Facilitation (iv) Capital Development (v) Commercial Diplomacy. AGPN vision for Africa is to establish “A Private Sector led Development Model Powered by Technology, Anchored in Industrialization, Driven by Green Growth, and Borne by Women and Youth TM.” The vision will support the objective of private sector-led growth as a means of creating jobs, furthering green growth, augmenting socioeconomic inclusion, building long-term resilience and sustainability, and helping to achieve the sustainable development goals and the African Union’s Agenda 2063. The overarching objective is to foster the conditions for more private sector-led growth by targeting private sector development as the best engine for job creation and inclusive and green growth, and a means of benefiting youth and women. AGPN has (18) years of experience in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa in promoting investments in countries across West Africa and Central Africa. With a network of more than 1,800 technical partners and investors, the group has a portfolio of more than 825 projects for an investment amount of $2.45 billion in countries often described as fragile or in transition. AGPN also has strong experience in these countries working directly with governments, the private sector or through projects financed by DFIs including the World Bank and the AfDB. AGPN Leverages Commercial Diplomacy and an Extensive Network of Committed Partners AGPN supports public sector-led reforms to improve the business-enabling environment, promote the integration of the African market, driven by the AfCFTA and regionally integrated infrastructure that add domestic and regional value by accelerating industrialisation.
